60x60 Surround at cuba cultur

For its third presentation of ‘60x60 Surround Sound Works’ curator Hans Tammen crosses the continent for cuba culture in Münster, Germany.
This concert will be free to attend, afterwards there will be 2 concerts by Nicolas Collins and Eva Pfitzenmaier (with an entry fee).
60×60 is a one-hour-long show made by sequencing 60 pre-recorded surround pieces by 60 different composers. Every one-minute piece is played continuously without pause.
Each of the 60 pieces begins precisely at the beginning of the minute, this marks the end of one piece and the beginning of another.

Jamez Dean’s composition ‘This Is The End’ is part of the ‘60x60 Surround Sound Works’.
‘This Is The End’ is about time and location. It deals with the marking and transposition of a start
or beginning and an end (the beginning of the end – the end of the beginning).
A 10 part countdown sequence from 5 to 0 is said by 6 different ‘natural sounding’ voices
(3 female and 3 male). In each sequence each voice is giving his or her identity to an individual speaker and their presence to a specific place in the room. After a sequence the voice, person is moving to another speaker and therefore moving to another location in the room.
